Racism and the Bible godsyou.com
Racism and the Bible , many people think about the racism in the Bible . But racism and the bible are two things in the universe. Both are different things. Racism is defined as prejudice, discrimination against someone of a different race based on the belief that one\'s own race is superior .I believe that the driving force of racism is self-justification. Justification has to do with a person proving that they have significance in this world. Some justify themselves through their hard work and money. The Bible condemns all forms of racism and teaches that every human being is created with equal dignity and God-given worth. While these truths are clearly evident from any faithful reading of scripture bible , it is also important to acknowledge that all of us read the Bible through the lens of our own culture, unconscious biases, and ethnic lenses. As Christians, we should strive to live out this example in our daily lives. It is clear that Racism is wrong and God doesn\'t define anyone\'s character in particular religion .The gospel of Jesus frees us from racism because it frees us from ourselves. We all are the same whatever religion we have and whatever color we have there is nothing about racism. We are unanimous in our condemnation of racism as contrary to the heart of God and the clear teaching of scripture. There is no verse in the Bible that says, “Thou shalt not be racist.” That said, mistreating others because of their race is utterly inconsistent with the message of Scripture. Genesis says that human beings are created in the image of God. James says that curses against people are evil because people are created in God’s image.
The Bible consistently teaches the universal problem of sinner human hearts. The Bible makes it clear that racism is wrong and entirely contradictory to God’s command to love our peoples, that is unconditional love, and the teachings of Jesus.
